abe vigoda still alive, wheaton still waits

As day two of the Big Wait draws to a close, I still haven't heard anything. After a lifetime in this industry, I have learned that the chances of booking a job drop logarithmically with each day that passes, and I'm less optimistic than I was yesterday. The glass still appears half-full, but there is now a chance that it could be filled with deadly poison.

To put the waiting into perspective, please enjoy this picture of Mustard Man:

I had the weirdest dream about you last night, Wil. You were at a sci-fi convention and you were a custom scent designer, and people were going nuts for your blends. I don't know if that bodes well for your current search or not, but it was exceedingly odd. You seemed to be having fun at it, at least. That's got to be a good thing. :)

hmmm, no one has yet to mention a "Mean Mr. Mustard" reference yet? I guess I am the first...
Sending good vibes your way for this sci-fi gig.

I watched "How William Shatner Changed the World" last night, and there were a couple clips from "The Next Generation" that included you. I found them rather amusing, much as I did when they aired originally. (I never had the "Wesley MUST DIE!" syndrome. I mostly found his predicaments amusingly annoying.)

There I am again....stick you hand in one stupid mustard jar and you're marked for life.

Wil,

You rock. We have proof. All my good vibes are belong to you.

That is a dirty mustard man! I keep holding out for you - it would be a great show! The family will work the mojo overtime for you.

Time for more RFB! We fall more in love with you with each episode.

Damn that hosting gig and logorithms, too! Maybe it will all fall into place miraculously in the next few days.

I'll work some mojo for you, too.

I think sacrificing a jar of mustard to the Mightily-Testicled Squirrel God may get you the gig.

Sooooo, lemme guess on tomorrows pic....

Do we get Ackbar, running kitten, or domokun?

I would bet that Mustard Man voted for Bush!

I'm with Joe. I think Mustard man voted for Bush too! He just doesn't look real trustworthy!
And what's up with all that mustard?

this appears to be a total oxymoron. haha!

The Happiest Days of Our Lives

  • These are the stories Wil loves to tell, because they are the closest to his heart: stories about being a huge geek, passing his geeky hobbies and values along to his own children, and vividly painting what it meant to grow up in the ’70s and come of age in the ’80s as part of the video game/D&D/BBS/Star Wars figures generation.

Buy Just A Geek: The Audiobook

  • "This journey is a fascinating read, made even more intimate and fulfilling by Wil's narrative. This is not just an audio book, it's a glimpse into the psyche of the man who considers himself . . . Just a Geek."
