eigenstate

Well, Monday is pretty much over, and I haven't heard anything yet about the possible hosting gig.

This waiting to hear thing? Yeah, it's never any different than this. I could either obsess that the lack of new information means they've gone with another Kimmel cousin, or the lack of new information means that nothing has changed since last week. It's a very Schrödinger's Cat situation, and I'm happy to leave the job in a superposition until I get a chance to observe the results.

To help pass the time until I hear something, here's a picture of a squirrel with huge nuts:

I've still got my fingers crossed.

Well, er.....that pic is just nuts..Big hairy..

When is the last time Wil had a vacation?

All kidding aside, it's really cool that so many of you have sent e-mails or comments about the (lack of) news. Thanks, everyone.

Always here for ya, Wil. Although I do have to second that inquiry about your last vacation. Still hoping you get the job though. And get away for a while.

If I were in LA, I would walk over to your house and hug and cry with you. You have my sympathies, Wil. : )

No News is Good News?

I wait with crossed fingers it would be totally HAWESOME if you go this gig.

I just posted over on the James Brown post asking for an update...so, thanks :)

I gotta say, I'm more than ready to see WW back on TV. I think, from the sound of it, this gig would be perfect. I'm assuming as a "host", we'll mostly be getting your personality as much as the script, etc allows. It'd give a wider audience a chance to see what we see.

After following your blog for a couple years, and recently nickerblog, and JF, I get a better idea of the people behind the whole "actor" stereotype. This stereotype that everybody goes out to Hollywood looking for fame and fortune, just doesn't match up with the genuine love of acting, performing, entertaining that I pick up from yourself, Shane and Annie. It's a shame that there's not as much focus on the passion involved in acting. Just today I was reading Shane's post about getting a commercial job, and you can just tell he LOVES what he's doing.

This has become a complete ramble, but it's just frustrating that Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie got 3(?) seasons to trot around being complete idiots, but yet three funny, intelligent people can't get at least equal opportunities? WTF?

LOL!

Olde.

Jeez, but I hope you get this gig. You know you deserve it, and everyone here will gladly rampage if you don't. I guess I'll agree with the others and say no news is good news. We're still all pulling for you, Wil.

As for the squirrel... Well, that was different. Bet if he cooked then, that wouldn't be a small meal. =D

**cooked /them/ (dammit)
I hate typos. But I love that I'm making them on your site. Nowhere else I'd rather mess up, you know. *crosses fingers for you, and not for the first time*

Gotta love the classic Farkisms. They just never get old. I hope you hear good news soon!

Lol! At least you did not post Cliche Kitty. However, Mustard man would definitely work here to. Go Farkism Go!

I'm still pulling for you Wil!

Ahhhhhh pr0n. Thanks.

Now if only they made "Hang in there" kitten posters with huge nuts.

Makes you wonder if he's the Heffner of teh squirrel world...

All weekend I kept saying "Is it Monday yet?!" and threatenting to hit F5 over and over and over...

And now this. Nuts.

What did you read Martha Grimes' latest mystery too with the Schroedinger's Cat reference? Maybe I'm just noticing that phrase for the first time.

Eigenstate?!? What a perfect word to describe your situation. Did you pick it up from Danica McKellar?

I prefer to think the cat is alive. Hang in there Wil. We're out here cheering for you.

This reminds me though, I need to buy the cat shirt from thinkgeek. I can imagine trying to explain it at work.

That HAS to be photoshopped... the squirrel's nuts are almost as big as its head. Funny though :)

Nothing ever gets on Mondays... That's what I tell my boss anyway... Fingers crossed.

Wow. Just wow. That squirrel disturbs and amuses me at the same time.

Still hoping on the best for you, Wil. :) In less eloquent terms, the waiting game always sucks much ass.

Oh, will. You bring my a little bit of joy into my life. That picture never made me laugh so hard before.

I promise I was not drunk on during that comment. Just stupid.

God damn it, Sal.

The Happiest Days of Our Lives

  • These are the stories Wil loves to tell, because they are the closest to his heart: stories about being a huge geek, passing his geeky hobbies and values along to his own children, and vividly painting what it meant to grow up in the ’70s and come of age in the ’80s as part of the video game/D&D/BBS/Star Wars figures generation.

Buy Just A Geek: The Audiobook

  • "This journey is a fascinating read, made even more intimate and fulfilling by Wil's narrative. This is not just an audio book, it's a glimpse into the psyche of the man who considers himself . . . Just a Geek."
