The party started at eight. Why are we going to a bar at ten?
Trent: They're gonna give daddy the Rainman suite, you dig that?
Mike: Do you think we'll get there by midnight?
Trent: Baby, we're going to be up five hundy by midnight!
Mike: Yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh!
Trent: Vegas baby! Vegas!
Mike: Vegas!-Swingers
The briefest of updates: I heard back from my manager about the Sci-Fi hosting gig. It's all very good news, but I can't talk about it until Monday.
Okay, maybe I can talk about it a little bit: They really liked me.
There are still about a million things that have to happen before it turns into a job for me, but at least I know that they liked me, and liked what I did. That's all I can ask for, right?

I find this hard to say without this entire comment coming out sounding like I'm trying to make it about me but here goes...
Today is my birthday. I'm 34 today (just slightly older than you :P). In the last year the two biggest things that could have happened to me happened. I got married (one year April 17th) and finally ended the 2+ year approval process for the surgery that has saved my life. It is for these reasons that I feel like I don't need my birthday wish this year and if I could, I would give it to you.
But I'll do the next best thing and make it for you.
Good luck Wil, I wish you good luck and hope that you get it. :)

Good luck Wil, hope you get it. Just discover the site yesterday, fair play for keeping up with your fans.

Good Luck Wil. I think you would be a huge asset to that channel. The harder you work, the lucier you get and that just fits you to a tee!

Man... you do realize how much cool factor you bring as a sci-fi geek and former Star Trek actor.
If you get this job it'll be the coolest thing to happen to sci-fi news since... possibly the beginning of time. At least in my opinion :)

Wil, I hope you get the job you auditioned for and I wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed reading the blog and listening to the RFB. My only wish is that you didn't curse in your writing or in you podcast. I would really like to be able to play the podcast at work, but I am afraid to do so because of the crude language. Either way I will keep checking in on you from time to time.

Call me the conspiracy theorist, but it seems way to coincidental that after your short heartfelt talk with Ron Scifi calls about a show interviewing Edward James Olmos. Either way, it bodes well for you.

Yeah, I don't need my birthday wish, I'll pass on it for Wil's sake :)
As for Ron maybe planting the seed for this project and Wil... Hmm...

Ah, swingers quotes. That is my favorite movie of all time. Very cool.
now picture "pick up the pieces" playing in the background as five cars follow one another to the same place where they could have just taken one car... Good times.

Anticipation...

Just wanted to say that you are mistaken if you think that is all you can ask for. You can ask for it all, and expect it will happen. Why not, when you make a wish, wish for the world.

Wil is so money, he doesn't know how money he is.
If Wil gets the gig, we definitely will have to make up "Wil Fucking Wheaton" shirts.
