busy busy busy

I've been busy today. I wrote next week's Games of our Lives, did some top secret Team PokerStars stuff that I can't wait to announce, wrote two articles for CardSquad (Yet Another Interview with Wil and Why Didn't Mike Nail Petra? The Writers of "Rounders" Finally Reveal the Answer) and read the script for Legion of Super Heroes which I'm recording on Friday.

It's really cool, and I totally can't say anything about it until I get a thumbs up from Warner Brothers, but I believe the phrase that the damn kids today use to describe my feeling upon reading the script is "ZOMG!"  When the script says, "ENERGY CORUSCATES around him until the power is too strong . . ." you know you're working on something hawesome.

Couldn't you at least tell us what the part is? Pleeeeeease?

When the script says, "ENERGY CORUSCATES around him until the power is too strong . . ."

ZOMFG!!!1!

Okay - that was a touch obnoxious, but as a lover of anime & RPGs - I can't get enough of characters who are so powerful they bend the laws of physics.

Like this guy:

No really, he's in there. And you have to fight him.

On a related note, if you are ever offered some of the Final Fantasy Potion (yes, it's a *real* beverage for sale in Japanland) don't drink it! It may restore 100HP but it tastes like Cranberry flavoured Anti-freeze mixed with Grape flavoured Moxie.

I can't WAIT to check out how hard you're gonna rock on Legion of Super Heroes.

My household is eagerly awaiting the "Legion of Super Heroes". I'm thrilled to hear you'll be in the new series and can't wait to see it.

My daughter (7) and oldest son (4) are still grieving the loss of "Teen Titans" and we just read that "Justice League Unlimited" is nearing the end too. This weekend's JLU marathon is taking up a lot of space on the TiVo because the kids won't let us delete any episodes yet...I think it's safe to say they inherited my love of anything DC/Marvel.

I've told them something new is coming in the fall and they're excited too. Keep us posted.

Oh man...you just won so many cool kid points by using "ZOMG!" I'm totally serious.

Cosmic Boy, is that you?

Maybe Wildfire?

Thanks for the tip on the 'Rounders' article.
Excellent reading & funny, too.

I think "LoS" will rock. They have a huge cast of heroes to work with, if they want to. I'd like to see them feature the Legion of Substitute Heroes, cuz they made me laugh.
It made me think of this funny youtube bit about a "Secret Wars Re-enactment Group". Funny stuff, be sure to watch it til the end!

That sounds like a Mr. Furious line...

"Rage... taking over...
Energy... coruscating...
Power. Too. STRONG!"

The Happiest Days of Our Lives

  • These are the stories Wil loves to tell, because they are the closest to his heart: stories about being a huge geek, passing his geeky hobbies and values along to his own children, and vividly painting what it meant to grow up in the ’70s and come of age in the ’80s as part of the video game/D&D/BBS/Star Wars figures generation.

Buy Just A Geek: The Audiobook

  • "This journey is a fascinating read, made even more intimate and fulfilling by Wil's narrative. This is not just an audio book, it's a glimpse into the psyche of the man who considers himself . . . Just a Geek."
