Eurofriendly Friday Poker Tomorrow

A lot of European players can't make my Tuesday night game at PokerStars, because it's sort of in the middle of the night for them. Because I love Europe so much (and to atone, in a very small and meaningless way, for that whole stupid Freedom Fries bullshit) I schedule a game once a month specifically for European players. It's called Eurofriendly Friday, and April's game is set up for tomorrow.

What: WWdN: N1kita Eurofriday
Where: PokerStars.
When: Friday, April 21. 1800 GMT
Password: monkey
Tournament number: 23319749
Buy-in: $10 + 1

Of course, anyone with eleven bucks and a PokerStars account is welcome to play with us, regardless of geography. It's also a much smaller field than the regular Tuesday night games, so if you're really into playing with me, your odds are much, much greater that you can crusher my kings with the hammer -- in fact, there are just three players signed up now, so it may just end up being a semi-private sit-n-go.

Well I won't be on tomorrows game since my brother is formatting his computer and since I network to the net via him it may be a while before we get everything up smoothly. But it's cool you think of your euro associates, and I'll look forward to taking part in the future.

Meh, Europe Schmeurope!

What about a game for all the Aussie and Kiwi fans out there?

I'd like to see that!

Can we get the thursday night games back please?
Tuesday is too early for some of us. We've been having rebel faux-wwdn thursday nights, but its not quite the same.

I'll be there. Looking forward to it. Not a Euro-dude, but I am willing to try and take their money.

Might as well join you - makes a difference from my usual mtt's on other sites. :)

19 players by now, btw.

Man, tried to join and couldn't b/c the two credit cards I tried were denied. I know the cards are fine. Is it always this hard to charge on poker gaming sites?

I'm out at 25. You beat me by one seat. The cards were not going our way today. I'll get you next time Will.

Peace

I went out a bit later - 17th or so, I think... Made a stupid call.

Normally I only play tourneys upto $5 + $0.50 - nice to see some decent play for a change! :)

Finished 16th. I could have kicked myself. I had a hand with three of a kind Jacks and let it go cause someone upped to 1000, and I wouldn't follow, thinking they had a full house. I would have won a pot of 2600 and would perhaps have lasted longer... Damn...
But I loved it anyway and I can't wait for next month's game. Thanks for organizing this Wil.
SadBetty.

The Happiest Days of Our Lives

  • These are the stories Wil loves to tell, because they are the closest to his heart: stories about being a huge geek, passing his geeky hobbies and values along to his own children, and vividly painting what it meant to grow up in the ’70s and come of age in the ’80s as part of the video game/D&D/BBS/Star Wars figures generation.

Buy Just A Geek: The Audiobook

  • "This journey is a fascinating read, made even more intimate and fulfilling by Wil's narrative. This is not just an audio book, it's a glimpse into the psyche of the man who considers himself . . . Just a Geek."
