Oh boy! I've been invited back to CruiseTrek! This year, the cruise is called The French Connection. It sails at the end of June from Montreal through Saguenay Fjord (where I'll be waving to Slartibartfast) around Nova Scotia, finally ending up in Boston. I've only been to Montreal once, when I worked on a show eons ago called Sirens, but I absolutely loved it, and I'm thrilled to go back. And Boston? One of the highlights of my life was playing goal in the Boston Garden, and as an American history geek (thank you very much, School House Rock) there are few cities in the country that rival Boston for awesome walking tours and museums.

But here is a huge bonus: Using Eventful, I've discovered that there are demands for me in both Montreal (currently 20) and Boston (currently 49). I know that time is relatively short, but I think this is a fantastic opportunity to see if this demand idea works. If you're interested in seeing me for a reading and book signing in either of these cities, join the demands. Critical mass for both cities should be 75 people, which I think would convince a book store to schedule an in-store appearance with just about eight weeks' notice, and make it worth my time to spend an extra day in each city (Montreal's event would probably happen on Thursday the 22nd of June, and Boston's would happen on Saturday, July 1st or Sunday, July 2nd.) We have to move pretty quickly, though, because I have to book my travel by the end of next week. So if you're into seeing me in either one of these cities, join the demand and spread the word! I spoke with Charlie from CruiseTrek this morning: the cruise is nearly sold out, but I understand that it's still possible to get on board. If you're interested in a truly hawesome vacation with a whole slew of geeks, you can't do much better than CruiseTrek. And there will be poker. Oh, yes, there will be poker.

If you come to Boston and are looking for an awesome independent bookstore to do a reading, I would suggest Porter Square Books (http://portersquarebooks.com). In Cambridge, about a mile from Harvard, they host lots of great readings and are run by some of the friendliest folks around.

This is a wonderful idea! - The on demand and I so wish our family could go on the cruise too!

I manage a email list for ng ready to take his show the Dog whisperer Cesar Millan, and he is getting ready to take his show on the road for next season.

One thing that the fans can do is to help with the events locally in spreading the word and getting some of the support work done to save money for all.

I understand that when you are with an event, you are kind of at the effect of what they want to achieve, but when you are on your own, it is also a great way to continue to support those issues that are important to you, such as the Cancer Walk. Fans really love to show they care by supporting those causes their favorite celebrity cares passionatly about, like the party Lost's JJ abrahms fans are hosting for the childrens Defense Fund. You could have something like this as well! Dont know if Anne and the kids will be along but how cool for them to be involved to help with such an event.

Anne is so inspirational! and it would be wonderful for the boys to really experience how one can use one's power - what ever level it is done at, to bring good where ever one is even quick and simple events!

Montreal totally rocks but don't overlook Nova Scotia. NS is totally amazing. Halifax is one of the coolest cities around and is great for history buffs - site of man's most powerful non-nuclear explosion and the site of the citadel built to protect the British fleet from Colonial retaliation during the Revolutionary War since Halifax was the fleet's staging area before sieging NYC.

My wife and I honeymooned in Halifax and fell in love with the area. All of NS is really hawesome. There is plenty of great travel opportunity outside of the big cities on your cruise.

For you readers, this will be my third Cruise Trek, and my second with the esteemed Mr. Wheaton, and I can tell you that it is going to be a full-out blast. The cruises are always fantastic, and the Cruise Trek people are among the nicest you will meet. If you can swing it, you should try to get on board. You won't regret it.

I went on a Star Trek cruise eon's ago. You were there with your family and your sister. You seemed to spend a lot of time playing ping pong and losing a lot of balls over the side :) We cruised from Miami to the Mexican Riviera.

I'd love to go on another Trek cruise one of these days, they are such fun.
