there are four lights (but we really only care about one)

Yesterday, I came across this thread on TotalFark where a guy/girl/sentient AI took a picture of what is obviously a streelight, but is convinced it's a UFO or something. I suspect that there was some, uh, altering of one's perception involved.

Over the next few hours, the submitter continually defended his/her/its assertion that it was something mysterious and magical, while he was gently and not-so-gently mocked by TotalFarkers (my personal favorite being an X-Files-inspired poster; you'll know it when you see it) and as we say on TotalFark, hilarity ensued. I was about to beg Drew to make the available to Fark Lite so I could link it, but someone beat me to it.

If you've been wondering why you should cough up five bucks a month for an online community, you may want to check it out. But be warned: before I read it, I thought the phrase "laughed myself sick" was just a figure of speech; I seriously laughed so hard while reading it, I almost Olsen Twinn'd all over my desk.
