dork tower 36

I asked John Kovalic what the official policy was on reprinting a page from Dork Tower 36 ("Which I'm  . . . kinda in," he said, in his best Bender-as-Blotto voice.) John said the official policy is "HELL YES", so here ya go (click to really embiggen):

Dork Tower Issue 36 Page 7

As soon as there's an ordering page ready for this issue, I'll update it. Until then, ask for it at your friendly local comic shop.

Oh, and this image has to be pretty big (120K) to read the dialog, so if you're going to link it, use imgred or grab a copy of it for yourself, mmkay?

LOLOL!!!!

Now MY sides are hurting!!

Oh, and to give a little backstory on this page: the girls are at a gaming convention, and Kayleigh has just used Febreeze on a gamer like mace, with the same results.

OH.MY.GODS!

*is laughing hysterically* I'm glad I took my break from packing for Maine now, or else I'd never been able to do it. Packing's such a rancid biyotch, but it has to be done. That is hilarious.

Oh, and on a side note, Febreeze can actually be used like Mace: My little sister used it on me like that once when she was cleaning, and it hurt like a bitch for hours afterwards.

LMFAO

I wont lie... that girl with the blue hair would be me.... one of my good friends threatens to mame people with Lysol... I have to show her this.

**hearts in eyes**

LOL loved this

That's hilariousness for ya, right thar.

Will, I'm gonna bypass this whole "Evenful" thing and just invite you to come hang out here in little 'ol Tullahoma, TN. Small town, small pressure, a few fans and good times.

You sir, rock.

Ha. That's great. I remember watching "you" on Family Guy thinking how neat it'd be to see yourself in cartoon-form. Guess you get that priveledge twice Mr. Crusher Wheaton.

Nicely done.

hilarious! Love how the women are 'swooning', and can think of nothing else of which you're talking. :D

hee. I love the heart eyes.

Dang it...I was hoping you'd utter that famous gamer line, "It BURNS! It BURNS LIKE HYGIENE!!!"

...oh well, I guess when Milholland stoops to using you in S*P, then I'll hear it...

I totally would have been all about the "Wesley Crusher" aspect.....until I started reading your blog and got to know what Wil Wheaton is like. I love you more as the writer geek!

Brilliant! I <3 Kovalic & Dork Tower.

It makes me blush it's so true. (There's still a little voice in my head squealing, "Wesley Crusher! Wesley Crusher!" sometimes though, to be fair, I personally dropped my "Wesley" crush years ago and really do just like reading your posts.) I agree, I'd be Kayleigh's friend: "Don't Febreeze teh Wheaton!"

Brilliant. Like Guinness.

Yep, I admit I would be one of the starry eyed girls! Of course, I now know you are more than just Wesley Crusher!

And a bit OT, I don't know if you saw this, but WWdN was written up as a "noteworthy modern blog" in an article celebrating blogging turning 10. Here is the link: http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/news/archives/2007/04/07/blogs_turn_10.html

Hey what about Stand By Me. Awesome picture, one of my favorite films of all time.

Okay, first off, that's awesome. I have to pick that up.

Secondly, Wil, I just wanted to let you know that years ago I sent you a copy of a piece I wrote about why I never hated Wesley Crusher. You wrote me back and were really nice about it. Apparently it was a good piece, because I just used it as part of my portfolio to get a job as sci-fi editor for Meevee.com's Totally Frakked blog. So, bask in some indirect good karma, you helped me get a spectacularly cool job.

John does great work. This one is perfect.

Hey Wil, I just wanted to add that you also make a guest appearance in my web-comic Geeks - The Comic Strip http://www.drunkduck.com/Geeks_the_Comic_Strip/index.php?p=188977

I hope you like.

The Happiest Days of Our Lives

  • These are the stories Wil loves to tell, because they are the closest to his heart: stories about being a huge geek, passing his geeky hobbies and values along to his own children, and vividly painting what it meant to grow up in the ’70s and come of age in the ’80s as part of the video game/D&D/BBS/Star Wars figures generation.

Buy Just A Geek: The Audiobook

  • "This journey is a fascinating read, made even more intimate and fulfilling by Wil's narrative. This is not just an audio book, it's a glimpse into the psyche of the man who considers himself . . . Just a Geek."
