Dear LiveJournal:
I know we don't speak directly very often, even though several thousand of your users read my lame blog via syndication over there, but I really have to say thank you.
See, I've been under more stress and pressure the last couple of months than I've experienced in years. I'm frustrated, unhappy, overwhelmed, and very easily distracted as a result.
I know my blog hasn't been worth reading lately, but it's still important to me to keep some record of whatever junk I manage to put up here, so this morning, when I was thinking about a hundred different things and unintentionally deleted a bunch of posts -- two of them containing stuff that I don't think totally sucks (which is a rarity these days) -- I was really upset. It feels like I've been living Murphy's Law with no end in sight, and this was just salt in the wound, you know?
But, damn, LiveJournal! jedifreeman said you could probably help me out, and you totally did. Because you had cached everything that I stupidly deleted, I was able to recover it a lot more easily than I thought I could. The comments are gone, which makes me super sad, but at least the posts are back.
I like you, LiveJournal, and I owe you one. If we're ever at a party together, I'll totally buy you a beer.
KTHXBYE,
Wil
