Link to the entire Star Trek episode "The Trouble With Tribbles" painstakingly redone as a series of still images in the style of LOLcats. (thanks, katre) Previously on BoingBoing: Oh, how I love the gebril macros! The Rats of Spring: "Evil Hamsters,"... [Read More]

OMG, I just came over to tell you about this. Sooooooo awesome!

Haha!! That's funny, Wil. It's pretty cool. Thanks for showing it to us.

Shauna

Oh, my darling Wil, how much I loved you then from the depths of my own geekish 12 year old heart.

Still love you now...even if you I "cool" now, I wore my heart on my sleeve for you when it was lame to love you!

All that and then some,
Saraphina

Thanks for the chuckle.

Hated that outfit. I much preferred Wesley once he got into a Starfleet red uniform. Yummy. :-)

SQUEE!

New wallpaper for my office computer! Because they don't think I'm geeky enough!

This photo is funnier than anything in the tribble episode: http://wilwheaton.typepad.com/wwdnbackup/LOLWesley.jpg

Who made that? It's fun. :)

So Wil, going to comment on an exciting, recent Penny Arcade-related announcement? I've never been to a gaming convention just as a fan, and I think I'd actually travel to PAX for you.

LOLZROYCE!!!!1111oneone

I made it in Xpaint, MaryMactavish

I'll blog about that other really cool thing tomorrow, Trisha Lynn

WEATON. I just got my weekly events guide:

"The Demand for Wil Wheaton in Seattle metro area is up to 157 people!"

What's the deal, man? Seattle loves you! I'll let you stay in my dorm if you get your ass up here!

:)

I have a picture to email to you but I just need to get off my ass and scan it first. Hopefully this weekend.

Oh dude, that's just AWESOME.

OMG! 2 cute!

Hey Wil, similar subject, I'm sure you're familiar with the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Tx (voted the best movie theatre in the country). They've just announced their travelling roadshow lineup for the summer and Stand By Me has made it onto the list. Though I won't be there, I thought your fans here would love to know if you planned on going. Here's part of their announcement from www.drafthouse.com:

Announcing the 2007
ROLLING ROADSHOW TOUR

It's time again - this summer we're loading up our Rolling Roadshow rig and hitting the wide open highway all over again, with a whole new slew of movies and a whole new batch of famous locations that we'll be screening them in. More information is available online, but for some immediate access, here's the quick-to-read list of where we'll be heading this year:

Fandango in San Elizario, Texas: Wed, July 18

Friday in South Central Los Angeles, CA: Fri, July 20

Lost Boys in Santa Cruz, CA: Wed, July 25

Stand By Me in Brownsville, Oregon: Sat, July 28

Wil, you were such a little goober back then. But then again, so was I, and I didn't get to be on TV! Your Kung-Fu is stronger than mine. :)

I think your "Funnier" in that Flash Game "USS Enterprise Two" with "Alf" as your side kick...Got it on my LifeTime Gamer Arcade Site and some of your responses to input are funny, tho I haven't finished the game yet...

Cheers Wil,

Keith

err that would be WHEATON. don't type drunk.

That is great! I dont think it could be any better unless somewhere on it was lolercopters. :)

Lolzerbeam! (or lolsbury steak)

I have to say, I liked the grey uniform personally. I was also six years old at the time.

Bwhahahaha that's great.

I am a fan of this particular uniform, that is until Wesley got into his Starfeet red. It was SO much better than the sweaters or the grey jumpsuit that never zipped up properly. /sigh

Hey, you know what's sadder? I think I actually have that sweater from when that show was on...

I grock wes. We're still too hard on that kid. He gave us some classic story telling, and I hope he's doing well, what ever dimension in which he is currently.

The academy episodes where he loses his "BoyWonder" status gave so much depth to him, it's unfortunate it came later in the series instead of in the beginning.

*gives wes a handshake*

So - the REAL future is you damn kids sitting around TXTing each other on your tricorders while the universe goes to hell in a handbasket?

Oh - and don't press 'Q' 3 times or you're bound to end up with problems.

Much too funny!

LOL!!! That's awesome!!!

I lol'd. Wil = full of win.

Oh, the LOL Trek tribbles made me cry. (You're pretty funny, too, with your Wesley macro. Hmmm... I think I'm getting inspired.)

Funny! Ooh! You're going to be at PAX 07? Neat!!

The Happiest Days of Our Lives

  • These are the stories Wil loves to tell, because they are the closest to his heart: stories about being a huge geek, passing his geeky hobbies and values along to his own children, and vividly painting what it meant to grow up in the ’70s and come of age in the ’80s as part of the video game/D&D/BBS/Star Wars figures generation.

Buy Just A Geek: The Audiobook

  • "This journey is a fascinating read, made even more intimate and fulfilling by Wil's narrative. This is not just an audio book, it's a glimpse into the psyche of the man who considers himself . . . Just a Geek."
