  • "This fascinating journey is made even more intimate and fulfilling by Wil's narrative. This is not just an audio book, it's a glimpse into the psyche of the man who considers himself … Just a Geek."

Buy The Happiest Days of Our Lives

  • These are the stories Wil loves to tell, because they are the closest to his heart: stories about being a huge geek, passing his geeky hobbies and values along to his own children, and vividly painting what it meant to grow up in the ’70s and come of age in the ’80s as part of the video game/D&D/BBS/Star Wars figures generation.

Nerd Prom Schedule

Are you one of the bloggers or live journalers who was impacted by the power outage and subsequent server crash-o-rama today? I have this feeling that a lot of my fellow bloggers saw the sun for the first time in a long time this afternoon. Aloe is your friend, my friends.

Anyway, if you're coming to Nerd Prom and would like to see any of the panels I'm on, here's a handy pocket schedule:

Thursday July 26
2:00PM - 3:00PM
Writing Prose vs. Writing Manga
TOKYOPOP Booth #3529

Saturday, July 28
10:30 - 11:30AM
Star Trek in Print: The New Golden Age
Panel Room 2

Saturday July 28
5:30-6:30PM
Star Trek in-booth Panel
TOKYOPOP Booth #3529
This year is going to be a lot of fun for me, I think. I don't have a ton of panels to do, but I have a ton of panels I'm going to go listen to, so I can write about them for GiR. I'm also going to finally meet up with other writers who I like and admire, which should be really, really fun.

Comic-Con played a huge role in where I am in my life today, because it's where I met Loren and Ben, who convinced me to create WWdN and grow beyond my silly Where's My Burrito? site at Geocities. It's also where I did my first in-booth signing of Just A Geek with Mysterious Galaxy. I'm really excited to attend this year, as a professional (it'll be on my badge and everything) and as a fan . . . but mostly as a fan.
