freakin' sweet!
I've known about this for two weeks, and haven't been able to tell anyone except the guys I was playing poker with when I got the news, but . . .
I'm going to be on an episode of Family Guy!
ROCK!
I can't say much more than that until after we record on Thursday, and I find out exactly what I can and can't disclose, but I've read the script, and I think it has the potential to be an episode that goes down as a classic. Okay, one thing: I have a lot of scenes with Stewie.
The timing is perfect, too, because I've spent so much time on Legion of Superheroes and other animated shows that I don't feel intimidated or uncertain about whether I'm up to the task or not. I can't even describe how excited I am to do this, but it's been one of my dreams for years. In fact, I think I put it on a wishlist at one time.
I'm going to go float around for a little while, now.

I'm not a fan of Family Guy, but anytime you get an acting gig I'm happy for you, Wil.

That is very cool. You'll have to let us know when it airs... I definitely don't want to miss it! (Family Guy is one of the few shows I watch anymore... probably because it stays original, and has managed to stay funny without recycling the old funny into not so funny anymore)

Congrats Wil! Make sure you let us know when it airs so I don't miss it:) Isn't nice to get a dream role?

That is freaking awesome!! Congrats!! I love Family Guy, although I don’t get at least half of the obscure 70s and 80s pop culture references. Sort of like … um … your blog. :)

Sweet, I haven't watched in a while but I definitely will check back in when you're on.

Cool! Are you going to be a character, or yourself?
I used to love Family Guy, but South Park ruined it for me. Now all I can think about is those darn manatees.

Congratulations! That's so much better than being on The Simpsons. I can't wait to see it and I'll be on the lookout for it.

Okay Everybody, raise your hand if you think Wil gets to play himself. (Mr. Lizard pauses to count hands.) Personally, I'd bet on Wil playing a new character. It may be possible (though incredibly unlikely) that they'd ask him to play Wesley, again. Then again, he could play "Actor Wil Wheaton" playing yet another character. Wow! The possibilities are mind-boggling! Any bookies out there? (Disclaimer: Mr. Lizard does not gamble and only mentioned bookies as a poor attempt at humor.)

This is the best thing I have read all day. I can't wait to see this.

Way to go, man! I'm not normally a die-hard fan of Family Guy, but I'll definitely mark my calendar for when this one shows up on Fox. (Given Family Guy's turnaround time... spring-ish, right?)
Seth and the rest of the cast seem like they'd be a blast to work with. Awesome for you!

This is kinda unrelated, but seeing this post reminded me to say something. I'm programming the show control for a Nickelodeon show out in Orlando right now and there's a section which has clips of all kinds of celebrities being slimed, and you're one of them Wil.
