I'm running out the door to go be on TV (something I used to do a few times a week, which now happens so infrequently, it's become something of a novelty again) but I wanted to quickly point out two things:
My column about arcades was submitted to Digg. I'm proud of it, and it seems to have resonated with a lot of people, so it would be cool to share it with folks who haven't seen it, yet. If you want to vote on it before the bury brigade gets their hands on it, go nuts.
In the comments for yesterday's post (I'm going to once again encourage everyone with a bit of time to check them out; there are a ton of really great arcade and video game memories in there, from all over the country) CHV asked about this great 80s TV show called Starcade. It was a game show for kids where they had to compete by playing popular arcade games, and I watched it on Nickelodeon. It's cheesy as hell, and the hosts were really on the far side of the generation gap (including 80s Olympic hero Mike Eruzione and Sean Connery nemesis Alex Trebek), but I absolutely loved it.
Well, there are ten full episodes available for viewing online at Starcade.tv (via Digg.) If you need to hop on the nostalgia bus, this is your stop.
